Hometown Heating was founded in 1998 by Jim Booth with one clear goal: to deliver reliable, honest heating and fuel services to families and businesses in Northeastern Connecticut. Built on a foundation of local pride, personalized service, and community trust, Hometown Heating quickly became a name people could depend on especially when it mattered most.
Hometown Heating joined the Santoro Family of Companies in 2020, gaining the resources and support of a larger network while keeping the local service and familiar faces our customers value. Today, we continue to grow while staying true to our roots. Jim Booth continues to work alongside our team today, ensuring that the standards he built the company on remain at the heart of everything we do.

“In 2020, my wife Jacqueline and I decided to sell our family owned retail oil business. This decision came with many long discussions and some hard questions. Would the new owner maintain the high standards we had established? What would happen to our valued employees? Most important, how would our customers be serviced?
Santoro Oil, a three generation family owned business, purchased Hometown Heating in October of 2020. Since day one, they have surpassed all expectations! The Santoros were committed to keeping the Hometown Heating name and location here in Brooklyn to support the local residential and business community.

Keeping the Hometown Heating name under the Santoro umbrella, the customers now have expanded products and services, with the addition of propane and commercial fuels that the Santoros have introduced to Hometown Heating. This gives the customers many more options to fully cover their HVAC product and service needs.
