DELUXE SERVICE PLAN

This plan includes:

  • Inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting the oil burner & controls on an annual basis.
  • Thorough inspections of the interior & exterior surfaces of the Boiler/Furnace, along with the system’s firebox.
  • Replacing the heating system’s oil filter and burner nozzle.
  • Efficiency tests with state of the art instruments to ensure maximum system performance.
  • Necessary repair or replacement of any listed parts & controls needed for the safe operation of your heating system, as shown below.

Your service plan will be automatically renewed for a like term unless you request otherwise.

24/7 Emergency Service:

EMERGENCY SERVICE is defined as having no heat or hot water. Day or night, call us at (860) 779-2222.

Notes:

  • Oil lines are not covered under any service plan.
  • No plan will be issued for outdated and/or obsolete equipment which will be determined by our licensed technicians.
  • Service Plans are effective for one year from the billing invoice date.
  • All Service Plans are subject to our pre-approval, are non-transferable, and non-refundable.
  • If the part is not covered, the labor is also not covered.
  • Hydronic components in systems containing antifreeze or glycol are excluded from service contract coverage.

Exclusions:

Service Plans do not cover parts or labor when failure is due to the following:

  • Customer leaving switch off or setting the thermostat too low to operate the unit.
  • Frozen oil and/or water lines.
  • Power venter or chimney problems.
  • Vacant or unattended premises or inaccessible areas.
  • Fuel tank failure, water or sediment in the oil line.
  • Lack of oil or service when caused by customer’s failure to make payments when due or when customer is not on automatic delivery.
  • A/C related parts are not covered. If the part is used for both heating & A/C, you will be charged the difference.
  • Lack of preventative maintenance.
  • Equipment damaged by power surges or portable home generators.

Note: If a part is not covered then the labor is not covered.

This agreement also does not cover services, repair or replacement of parts as a result of abnormal conditions beyond our control, such as, but not limited to, acts of God, war, flood, fire, hurricane, explosion, vandalism and freeze-ups. Furthermore, Hometown Heating is not liable for the inability to supply parts that are no longer available due to obsolescence.

The acceptance of all service plans by Hometown Heating is contingent upon inspection of your heating system by one of our licensed technicians. Any defective parts, or systems not up to code, will not be covered by the plan.

General Conditions:

Service plans are intended for the ordinary residential or comparable-sized commercial burner. Service plans are only available to customers who are on automatic delivery and purchase their entire heating fuel requirements, with a minimum of 450 gallons annually from Hometown Heating and its affiliates.

Each service plan is effective for one full year from the billing invoice date. The annual tune-up of the burner may be performed at the end of the contract year.

It is agreed that if any tax or other charges imposed by a government authority with respect to the sale, delivery, or use of products under this agreement, it will be added to the price to be paid by the customer.

This agreement will be automatically renewed for a like term. Such renewal shall be subject to any price change made by Hometown Heating and its affiliates. This agreement is not written on a prorated basis and no refund will be made if canceled before the expiration date. We reserve the right to rescind or cancel this agreement without notice if any of the conditions set forth are not met.

Charges for labor and/or parts arising from service performed prior to acceptance of this agreement may only be covered at the sole discretion of Hometown Heating and its affiliates. A surcharge may be assessed for Saturday cleaning appointments.
